I met with a client the other day and we discussed all that’s happened since the last time we met in person. Floods, tornados, tsunamis, Bin Laden killed and more. Events seem to have happened more often or maybe a normal series is just happening closer together.

The same happens in business and it seems that when times are tough events happen closer together than when times are good. In business buy-sell it’s not the tsunami that hits but more like a series of mosquito bites, over and over and over until you’ve swatted the last of those pesky little creatures.

When we look back we see a series of events that were handled. When we’re in the middle of them the feeling is of frustration and/or urgency. Of course, it’s these feelings that drive us to get it done so when we do look back we wonder what we were so worried about.
